A remarkable expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir, the Wild Irishman 'Tuturi Vineyard' 2022 is crafted with meticulous attention by winemakers Alan Brady, one of the region's pioneers, and Brian Shaw. Sourced from a single vineyard in Alexandra, this wine embodies elegance and depth. It showcases a vibrant profile of red cherry, wild strawberry, and subtle earthy undertones, complemented by fine-grained tannins and a silky texture. Aged thoughtfully to enhance its complexity, this Pinot Noir reflects the rugged beauty of its origin while maintaining finesse and balance. A testament to Brady's legacy and the region's winemaking excellence.
Wild Irishman 'Tuturi Vineyard' Pinot Noir 2022
“Wild Irishman is the new project from the guru of Central Otago Pinot Noir - Alan Brady - and winemaker Brian Shaw. Both of whom come from Northern Ireland originally. Alan planted the first ever Pinot Noir vines in Central Otago back in 1982 in the Gibbston Valley. He has been a leading figure in the region ever since and was an original shareholder in Felton Road and a mentor to owner Nigel Greening. Further advice comes from Francois Millet former wine-maker of Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüe.”
